First time experience was awesome! Dr. John explained why adjustments were needed and exactly how they worked. I appreciate that he took his time explaining and making sure I understood. After my adjustment I felt an immense amount of pressure gone! I felt like a new person. The next few days at work were great! I wasn't tired or aching like I normally would have been. I have been back a few times since and will continue to go back.

Having been to many chiropractors over the years and working in the bodywork industry for 5+ years, Dr John is one of the best chiropractors I’ve seen. His adjustments are quick and to the point! Im not one for regular adjustments but I love that he always remembers me, finds time to fit me in, and gets to the root of the issue. He’s great, I’ve recommended him to friends and family for years!

My first time getting an adjustment and I have to say, it was amazing. Dr. John explained to me what he was going to do and why, and the way he explained it made sense in a really easy to understand way. That made me feel good going in, and then when he started, i felt an instant relief. It was truly amazing. I didn't realize how much pain I was dealing with until now. Awesome service. Dr John’s adjustments have really helped my neck and hip issues. Not only is the quality of the adjustments spot on but the flexibility of getting appointments is great. A lot of times in the past I miss regular adjustments cause my work schedule doesn’t line up with the limited hours most chiropractors have but Dr John has perfect hours from after 5 and on Saturday's so now I can keep up regular maintenance. His subscription service is also a really good option.

Dr. John is informative, kind, and swift. He takes the time to understand a patients issues and concerns all while keeping the visit short, sweet and to the point!
You'll walk out feeling possibly a little sore (to be expected) but well on the way to a million bucks!!!

Dr John was wonderful! I am 34 weeks pregnant and was suffering from sore hips and pain in my lower back. He was very knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable, and I left feeling no pain in my hips or lower back. I immediately felt more awake, more alive and my brain fog disappeared!

I hadn't had chiropractic care in so long I was worried that my body would just resist any semblance of an adjustment-like my subluxations

Dr. Perea was extremely helpful in both describing the chiropractic process as well as walking me through what he was doing and why. He was able to squeeze me in even though I didn't have an appointment and as a result of that, my neck feels much better today.

Updated review 2 weeks later: John is CONSISTENTLY on top of his game. I just completed my marathon race this past weekend and came back for another adjustment. Felt immediate relief and now I can walk again. I also came in an hour earlier than my appointment time. He was very kind and offered to start the session early. He was listening to some chiropractor webinar. He definitely go above and beyond updating himself with the latest technology and techniques.

I’ve been coming to Back in a Flash to see Dr. John for years, and my pain relief finally convinced my husband, Chris, to join me, who has been coming for a couple of years now as well. I’ve had chronic daily headaches and back pain for over 10 years, have seen multiple chiropractors, and I’ve never felt better than after one of Dr. John’s adjustments. Not only does he give the deepest and most thorough adjustments (though truly never painful, just intense) I’ve ever had, but he also educates us about how the spine and any misalignment can contribute to many other issues besides just pain.

Before a recent adjustment, after discussing some of my recent issues more in-depth, he targeted a compressed area in my neck/shoulders, and I haven’t felt as good since that adjustment and subsequent ones in at least 5 years, if not since all of my pain started.
Truly, for at least 6 hours I felt like I had taken pain medication but hadn’t, I was so floaty it was almost euphoric, and I haven’t slept as well as I did that night in years. Though a little sore as I usually am the day after an adjustment, I still do not have any of that burning irritating pain in that challenging spot. I’d also had a lingering cold for over two weeks and woke up with clear sinuses, another bodily system that Dr. John explains is connected to the spine.

We appreciate Dr. John so much. Not only is he a great doctor, but we have had the pleasure of getting to know him as an awesome guy and great father as well. It feels miraculous to say that I am hopeful for the first time in a very long time that I might be able to get to “pain free” or close again. We will literally follow Dr. John anywhere and wherever he goes.

John is a miracle worker. I used to curl into a ball crying to go to sleep. My DDD and pinched nerve I have been suffering from for over 5 years. After adjustments I feel like a new person and no longer cry in pain.

Dr John is very thorough and I like how he adjusts the whole body and doesn't spot treat. He also gave me stretches to help with posture, and recommended the neck cloud thing I can use at home.
